Having started her college education in business and art at 16, her interest in fine art and architecture led her to studying design at Harrington College of Design in Chicago, Illinois. She later completed her degree in Interior Architecture and Design from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana.
Caitie’s mission is about inspiring fresh and innovative designs that reflect her client’s individuality. Her designs focus on keeping the client’s needs and vision a priority. The result allows each individual’s style to emerge into a design that will inspire and promote their sense of self. Her design process is pragmatic (how should the space be laid out to flow and function well?) as well as creative/conceptual (what idea or feeling will ground and focus the design?). Caitie’s clients often tell her she seems like both a trusted advisor and a close friend!
Devan Van Epps
Devan starting designing at a young age when her mother would give her old architectural drawings to color to keep her busy. She then pursued her degree in Interior Design from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. She brings an easy-going disposition to our office, as well as a robust comprehension of custom furniture and cabinets from her 5 years at a luxury design-build firm.
Devan joined CMFP in 2019 as our Assistant Designer. Her role quickly grew to include project management, cabinet specialist and installation assistance. A problem-solver who does not gravitate to one particular aesthetic, she believes that good design is founded in purpose, reason, and feeling, and that it is something everyone deserves to experience.
Caitie founded CM Fresh Perspectives in 2016. Experienced in many aspects of design, CMFP is a full-service interior design firm that designs homes from concept to completion. We create custom interiors for renovations and full new builds that stand the test of time. We collaborate with clients on the floor plan development, interior drawings, custom cabinetry, finishes, and selections: furniture, window treatments, styling, and installation.
First step is to set up a phone call with Caitie to discuss your project and see if she seems like the right fit for you. From there a complimentary in-person consultation can be set up in order for a proposal to be put together. CM Fresh Perspectives offers tiered hourly fee prices based on the specific needs of each project so that you can decide what degree of services makes sense for you! After determining the scope of the project and signing a design agreement you will have an in-depth style meeting with Caitie along with a measure, unless it is a new-build. Then it's off to the design development process in which we are hard at work creating your dream home. Presentations include samples, graphics, floor plans, etc. After any necessary changes to the design have been made, the purchasing and construction process begins. If needed, meetings with the builder happen at this point in order to review drawings and design intent. That's when hammers start to swing and your builder becomes more involved. After the construction is completed the CMFP team comes back for any and all furniture and accessory installation and your home is complete!
I can’t say enough amazing things about Caitie. I am now unabashedly codependent on Caitie for any design questions. She has saved me goodness knows how much money by knowing where money is best spent for a solid return and telling me where it is frivolous. HIRE HER- you will not regret it!

Working with Caitie was an excellent experience. She helped us transform our open great room to a place we can all relax in and be proud to entertain guests in. She is professional but relaxed. She is efficient and listens to your ideas. She understood both my husband and I’s taste. She strived to meet both our needs.
